Meet the Team

The PIC community is supported by a small full time staff. The PIC also receives essential contributions from guest staff that help to advance progress on our goals.

The PIC welcomes people to the team for temporary assignments. At any given time, we have between 4 and 10 guest staff on board.

How can I become a guest staff member and who qualifies?

If you are interested in becoming a guest staff member, please reach out to Bethany.Blakey@pic.gov. We welcome new guest team members throughout the year with official onboarding programs in April and October.

Candidates who will have the best experience as PIC Guest Staff are people who are flexible, high-energy, open to learning, and relatively assertive people with ideas and passion for contributing to the greater good of government. They can work independently just as well as they can work with a strong, experienced team. Working with PIC core staff to define a specific project -- with defined deliverables -- early in the process yields the greatest chance for success.

Qualifying Federal Employees:

We accept Presidential Management Fellows, President’s Management Council Interagency Rotation & Fellows, and other Federal employees in development programs, as well as Federal employees with an interest and aptitude to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of performance management and improvement in Federal government.

Qualifying Non-Federal Employees:

We accept Interns, University Fellows, Non-Profit Fellows, and State and Local Government employees.

What is the duration and location?

2-month to 2-year assignments, Full-time or Part-time

Assignments can be onsite in Washington, DC (1800 F St, NW), remote, or a combination depending on the assignment or opportunity.
